Afrokhambart, a 28-member ensemble of visionary artists from Amandawe Mission, Scottburgh, is redefining the performing arts landscape. Under the inspired leadership of two trailblazing directors - David Mbongeni Sabela, whose majestic presence electrifies the stages of Disney's Lion King in Germany, and Simphiwe Sanele Sikhakhane, a multi-talented artist known for his work as a songwriter, musical director, singer, actor, and dancer - Afrokhambart fuses the essence of traditional Zulu arts with modern innovation, crafting an immersive experience that will leave you spellbound and inspired.


Our team is inspired by the achievements of our leaders, David Mbongeni Sabela, who has mesmerized audiences with his iconic portrayal of Simba in Disney's The Lion King, and Simphiwe Sanele Sikhakhane, a multi-talented artist with over 20 years of experience in the performing arts industry. We are also proud to have partnered with UShaka Marine World, signing a year long contract to showcase traditional Zulu dance performances, further solidifying our commitment to promoting South African culture and arts.
